The Temple and the Tempest

March 28, 2014

The Psalmist wrote: “Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations. Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God” (Psalm 90:1-2). The dwelling place of God’s people is His Temple, the Body of Christ. Those who would be saved at the Second Coming of Christ must be found in His Temple. The storm that surrounds God’s presence in the Heavenly Temple will become the storm that engulfs the whole world at the end of time to put an end to those persecuting the people of God and destroying the earth (Revelation 11:18). In Revelation 21, John wrote: “And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, ‘Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God'” (Revelation 21:3).
